Description

Overskirt construction adds a second layer of movement to a gown that would otherwise sit as a single sheath, and the 1912P8437 uses a full length mikado overskirt to do exactly that. Underneath, a sleeveless halter neckline anchors a sheath skirt that follows the body’s line closely, while the overskirt sits apart from it, catching air and light differently as the wearer moves. An open back completes the halter construction, keeping the design consistent from front to back.

In Ivory, the mikado fabric takes on a slight structure and sheen that a softer material would not hold, letting the overskirt keep its shape rather than collapsing against the sheath below it as the wearer moves through a room. Full length and sized 0 through 24, well suited to formal and red carpet occasions where the extra volume of an overskirt reads as intentional rather than accidental.
