Ruching down the bodice of the 2111P4270 pulls the fabric into gathered vertical detail that follows the body from the decollete neckline to the waist, where the skirt opens into an A-line flare. The straight-across neckline keeps the bodice entry clean and lets the ruching read as the primary construction detail rather than competing with a shaped or curved neckline above it.
The high-low hem reveals a cascading ruffle at the front, the two levels of the skirt creating a visual transition from the structured bodice above to the layered movement below.
