Mikado fabric gives the Terani Couture 242E3142 a surface weight that synthetic alternatives cannot produce. The weave has a slight sheen without crossing into metallic, which keeps the gown’s tone formal while remaining approachable in the three available colorways: Taupe, Mauve, and Blue Denim. A one-shoulder neckline provides asymmetry without requiring embellishment to create visual interest, and the peplum at the waist gives the column silhouette a defined waist point that a straight sheath would otherwise lack. Peplum on a slim gown works by adding volume at one horizontal plane only, keeping the rest of the silhouette elongated while creating shape. The back zipper closure with hook-and-eye ensures a precise fit through the torso.
