Description

An overskirt over a fit-and-flare silhouette adds volume above the natural flare of the gown, which creates two levels of expansion below the fitted bodice. The 261P6261 builds this with Mikado and lace, the overskirt adding dramatic volume that the fit-and-flare base can support without the full structure of a ballgown. A sheer lace bodice sits below the sweetheart neckline, giving the fitted upper section a decorated, semi-transparent quality that contrasts with the structured skirt volume below.
Black, Red, and Royal each handle the volume-on-volume construction differently. Black makes the overskirt's layered quality most visible as shadow and form. Red makes the volume assertive and warm, the color amplifying the dramatic silhouette. Royal gives the sheer lace bodice its most visible contrast against the Mikado base. Slit through the skirt, zipper and hook-and-eye closure.
